In October 2021, UNDP in partnership with the University of São Paulo, the Planetary Health Alliance and Harvard University launched The São Paulo Declaration on Planetary Health. The Declaration is the first global call to action from the planetary health community, setting out the actions needed to transition to a just, regenerative, post-pandemic world that optimises the health and well-being of people and planet. 300 people from 70 countries contributed to the development of the Declaration, which had been signed by 320 organisations as of December 2021.
